Annual event on EAS High Level Seminar on Sustainable Cities provides a venue to selected cities from the ASEAN region and EAS to share their best practices, and promote networking among the cities. The 12th EAS HLS-SC is planned to be held on 21-22 February 2022.

The 1st Regional Workshop of the Project was held in September 2018 in Tokyo, Japan; the 2nd Regional Workshop was held on 11-12 June 2019 in Vientiane, Lao PDR; the 3rd Regional Workshop is planned to be held tentatively in February or March 2020 in the Philippines (back-to-back with the 11th EAS High-Level Seminar); while the 4th (Closing) Regional Workshop was held on 1–2 December 2020 via video conference. The Workshop agreed for the continuation of the programme and for IGES to develop the full proposal for the next phase of ASEAN SDGs FC (2021–2023).
