The 2^nd City Windows Series is part of the implementation of Smart Green ASEAN Cities (SGAC) Programme, which was launched in November 2021 and implemented by the UNCDF. The three-year programme aims to promote a more sustainable urbanisation in the ASEAN cities, while reducing their environmental footprint and improving the quality of life for citizens.

With the theme “Transforming Cities – Planning, Structuring and Financing Projects”, the 2^nd City Windows Series aims to bring the ASEAN cities together to explore and reinforce capacity to design and structure projects that can attract private financing. The 2^nd City Windows Series will also look at the presentation of the nominated cities on the proposed project activities.

The Horizontal Learning for ASEAN Sustainable Cities is one of deliverables under Indonesia’s 2023 ASEAN Chairmanship. The event aims to provide a platform to exchange best practices and lesson learned on waste management amongst ASEAN Member States and to explore potential cooperation with private sector.
