The launch and Inception Workshop aim to give a background of the CASA project and interactive discussion with ASEAN Member States (AMS), Republic of Korea and relevant partners on project goals and target cities as well as identifying research methodology on air pollution and source apportionment, health impact and monitoring system.

The workshop will be followed by the first Project Steering Committee (PSC) meeting of CASA to present the strategy, approaches as well as organisations and stakeholders responsible for the project management and implementation. The Project Management Unit (PMU) will deliver presentation on specific aspects of the project operations and planning and welcome inputs and guidance from AWGESC on a 4-year work plan and budget especially the key activities and project output for 2023 – 2024), project governance, and monitoring and evaluation.
