The ASEAN-China Environmental Cooperation Forum is an annual high-level dialogue event, conducted as part of the implementation of the ASEAN-China Environmental Cooperation Strategy and Action Plan (2021-2025).

This year, the ASEAN-China Environmental Cooperation Forum will resume in-person on 15-16 September 2023 in Nanning, China, organised by the China-ASEAN Environmental Cooperation Center (CAEC) under the guidance of the Ministry of Ecology and Environment of the People's Republic of China (MEE). The Forum will be held concurrently with the ASEAN-China Green Value Chain Partnership (GVCP) organised by CAEC.

With the theme ‘Seeking for a synergistic approach for climate and environment governance, working for the harmony between humanity and nature together”, the ASEAN-China Environmental Cooperation Forum 2023 aims to promote collaboration and provide platform for sharing experience between ASEAN Member States and China to enhance environmental protection and addressing climate change.

The China-initiated ASEAN-China Green Value Chain Partnership (GVCP) will be introduced and launched by the CAEC with the aim to facilitate regional connectivity of climate-friendly and sustainable investment and trade. GVCP’s objective is to promote the integration and sharing of policy, investment, and technical information related to green value chains and help achieve SDGs.
